Jackson Riley

2025 Imagination Scholar

Portrait of Jackson Riley

Jackson Riley, a Double Major in Motion Picture Production and English with a Concentration in Creative Writing, joins us as an Imagination Scholar. Jackson shares: “I applied to this program to advocate for creatives on campus and the intersectionality of faith with creativity. My own creativity is an act of worship, and being able to encourage others to do the same is a privilege. I also hope to assist in fostering a diverse community of Christian creatives on campus. My dream career is to produce and write for kids’ and family entertainment. I strive to be a servant leader who works to uplift those who need help to have their voices heard. Imagination Scholars provides an excellent opportunity to do so.”

The Imagination Scholar program identifies, empowers, and supports a cohort of visionary students invited to help shape the spiritual and creative life of Belmont’s campus. Rooted in creativity and community building, this paid opportunity allows students to build original creative work, assist with Creative Arts Collective events, and engage the campus community at the intersection of faith and art.

Each semester, scholars will work alongside their peers and fellow creatives on campus to serve and develop a vibrant artistic community on campus. As ambassadors for the Creative Arts Collective, scholars will design creative projects that connect the Creative Arts Collective to the on-campus community and look for opportunities to connect the Creative Arts Collective to the creativity already taking place on campus. The program is intentionally experimental: scholars shape its structure, outputs, and culture. Learn more about the program here.
