Caleb Dean is the Grant Coordinator for the Creative Arts Collective. Originally from East Tennessee, Caleb came to the Nashville area in 2023 to be a part of a local church community, The Belonging Co, and joined the administrative staff in Belmont University’s Mike Curb College of Entertainment & Music Business in 2024 before transitioning to the Creative Arts Collective. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Applied Psychology from Carson-Newman University and is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Strategic Communication and Leadership here at Belmont.
Passionate about the arts, Caleb has an extensive background in vocal/choral performance, worship leadership, theatre, and dance. This includes the honor of having been selected as an All-State choral performer as a first tenor in the state of Tennessee in 2014, as well as touring locally and regionally with an advanced-level collegiate choir in 2015. He also had the honor of teaching interpretive movement for worship at a local arts school in East Tennessee from 2021 to 2023.
Caleb has a particular passion for music that tells a story well, particularly in the Christian and worship, folk, and singer/songwriter genres. He is a firm believer in the incorporation of creativity and the arts in Christian worship to facilitate spaces for people to encounter the presence of God. Forever an advocate of the power and ability of the arts to reveal the character and nature of God and impact and shape people and culture, he is honored to be a part of the Creative Arts Collective and its mission to inspire people from diverse contexts to discover and live the Christian story and encounter God through the arts.
